The Briarcliff Bears had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt a 72-36 defeat at the hands of Hendrick Hudson on Thursday. Briarcliff was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-12.
Hendrick Hudson can attribute much of their success to Kaitlyn Raguso, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. Hailey Pearson was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
Briarcliff's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Hendrick Hudson, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Briarcliff will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Hendrick Hudson at 4:30 p.m. Hopefully Hendrick Hudson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday. As for they, they will take on Ossining at 6:00 p.m.
