Volleyball Recap: Riverside Comes Up Short

The Riverside Beavers lost 3-0 to the Berkshire Badgers on Tuesday.

While Riverside had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Riverside still got an impressive performance from Mason Weber, who had ten digs and two aces. Weber is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last six games he's played.

Berkshire can attribute much of their success to Carson Jones, who had 16 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Jones has posted over his last six contests.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Berkshire, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Riverside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against North on the 30th. As for Berkshire, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin on the 30th.
