After losing to the Snowflake Lobos the last time they met, the Florence Gophers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Florence came out on top against Snowflake by a score of 62-53 on Thursday.
Florence got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Adrian Taufaasau out in front who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Bradeen, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Florence is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Snowflake, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Florence won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Window Rock at 5:30 p.m. on December 29th. Window Rock has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 15. As for Snowflake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pima at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pima knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Snowflake likes a good challenge.
