The Tecumseh Braves can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Cannelton 80-29 on the road. Tecumseh's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Cannelton had strong showings from Trevor Hale, who scored 12 points, and Trevor Sturgeon, who scored a point.
Tecumseh's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-10. As for Cannelton, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tecumseh and Evansville Christian will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Evansville Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully Tecumseh likes a good challenge. As for Cannelton, they will head out on the road to take on Tell City at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Tell City is ranked 443rd, while Cannelton is ranked 466th).
