The Valor Christian Lions had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They really took it to Pinecrest Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-28 victory on the road. Valor Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 24 points or more this season.
Valor Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alyssa Mulholland, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lyla Hughes, who scored 12 points.
The victory (which was Valor Christian's fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points per game. As for Pinecrest Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.
Valor Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pinecrest Academy, they will take on Fideles Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
