The Hunter Wolverines will take on the West Jordan Jaguars at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hunter has four straight wins, West Jordan has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Thursday, Hunter got the win against Kearns by a conclusive 24-8. The Wolverines might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by seven runs or more this season.
LEILA AIONO was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

West Jordan's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Hunter has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12.8 hits per game. It's a different story for West Jordan, though, as they've been averaging 8.9 hits. Given Hunter's sizable advantage in that area, the Jaguars will need to find a way to close that gap.
Hunter came out on top in a nail-biter against West Jordan when the teams last played back in April, sneaking past 10-9. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
