Even though the Barrow Whalers scored an imposing 56 points on Saturday, the Valley View Eagles still came out on top. The stars were shining brightly for Valley View in a 73-56 win over Barrow. The win made it back-to-back wins for Valley View.
Valley View's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charles Knight, who scored 24 points along with six rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalyn Talbert, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds.
Valley View now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Barrow, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Valley View will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Linfield Christian at 4:30 p.m. on December 26th. After both having extra time off, Barrow and Kenai Central will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 12:30 p.m. on December 28th.
