Caledonia was the 4-2 winner over Houston when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Caledonia Cavaliers fell just short of the Houston Hilltoppers by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. The Cavaliers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Caledonia saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Conner Black, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Caledonia's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-6. As for Houston, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

While Caledonia had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
