On Friday, Mid-Pacific Institute was able to grind out a solid win over Varsity Opponent, taking the game 56-48.
Mid-Pacific Institute got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Riley Miura out in front who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds. Jarek Yee was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Mid-Pacific Institute has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Varsity Opponent, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 113-414-5.
Mid-Pacific Institute's road trip will continue as they head out to face Nanakuli at 10:00 a.m. on December 9th. As for Varsity Opponent, they will face off against Ponte Vedra at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Ponte Vedra is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.5 points per game.
