The Holy Cross Crusaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 58-50 to Accelerate Christian. Holy Cross has struggled against Accelerate Christian recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Accelerate Christian to victory were Jaxon Leyendecker and Blain Holman. Leyendecker dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Holman shot 4-for-6 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Holman has scored all season.
Holy Cross' defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Accelerate Christian, their victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-18.
Holy Cross didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-39 loss vs. Holy Cross Academy on the 10th. Accelerate Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
