The Burbank Bulldogs had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They claimed a resounding 34-6 victory over Pasadena at home. The victory was just what Burbank needed coming off of a 41-0 loss in their prior game.
Burbank got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Max Kelley out in front who rushed for 28 yards and two touchdowns. Burbank also got a significant boost from Joseph Caballero, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 84 yards.
Burbank's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Pasadena, their loss was their seventh straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burbank will take on Burroughs at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Burroughs knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Burbank likes a good challenge. As for Pasadena, they will head out on the road to face off against Muir at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Muir presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pasadena in California (Muir is ranked 219th, while Pasadena is ranked 854th).
