Chandler Drachslin and Mitchell McLaughlin provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Kaiser. The connection was good for 68 yards, the longest such play in Inland Valley this season.
Poly scaled the state rankings by moving to 168 from 299 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Bears climbed the ranks as a result of defeating the Cats 34-3.
Poly's dynamic duo of Drachslin and McLaughlin proved to be unstoppable against Kaiser, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Drachslin threw for 212 yards and 3 touchdowns and McLaughlin had 109 yards receiving. Devontre Hale helped Poly's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 30 yards.
Dennis Brown's team's dynamic duo of Drachslin and McLaughlin proved tough for Phil Zeyala's team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
KAMARRI WATSON was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 136 yards on 20 carries as Canyon Springs topped the Cats.
McLaughlin was the best wideout in Inland Valley this week as Poly defeated Kaiser.
He was 12-20 with 1 interception.
Drachslin put up the best numbers through the air as the Bears bested the Cats.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Hakeem Eubanks. The Valley View star has 19 catches for 285 yards.
Two of the top teams in the league will go toe-to-toe this week when Poly takes on the Cougars. The Bears' offense has racked up 158 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Canyon Springs has allowed only 81 on the year.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when Pete Garza's team and Poly face off next week. CODY CERVANTES has thrown for 646 yards and 7 touchdowns this season, while Evan Telliard has plagued opposing QBs to the tune of 2.5 sacks.
At the moment, the Cougars are in third, while the Bears are in second.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Canyon Springs takes on Poly. The Cougars have allowed 81 points this season, while the Bears have given up 82. Canyon Springs allowed 47 points last week as it fell to Hesperia.
JW North lost to Citrus Hill 69-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
