The East Aurora Blue Devils will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Holland Dutchmen at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in East Aurora's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matches.
You can't lose the contest if you win every quarter, and that was precisely East Aurora's strategy against the Golden Eagles on Monday. East Aurora put the hurt on the Golden Eagles with a sharp 65-40 victory. That looming 65-40 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for East Aurora yet this season.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought game, but Holland had to settle for a 55-53 loss against the Raiders on Friday. While losing is never fun, Holland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 609th, while the Raiders are ranked 276th).
East Aurora's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Holland, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-4.
East Aurora was able to grind out a solid win over the Dutchmen in their previous meeting back in December of 2021, winning 54-47. Will East Aurora repeat their success, or do the Dutchmen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
