After a string of seven wins, the Pleasanton Blu-Jays's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 52-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Uniontown. Pleasanton was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Uniontown apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Despite the loss, Pleasanton still got an impressive performance from Braden Baldwin, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Baldwin is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Mario Davis was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Pleasanton's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-5. As for Uniontown, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pleasanton will square off against Oswego at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Oswego focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday. As for Uniontown, they and Southeast will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Southeast is coming into the matchup with four straight victories at home, meaning Uniontown will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
