Shady Spring has gone 6-1 against Princeton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Thursday. Shady Spring will be playing in front of their home fans against Princeton  at 6:00  p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Shady Spring has three straight  wins, Princeton has four straight  defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Shady Spring had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Oak Hill on Tuesday. The Tigers blew past the Red Devils 12-1.
 Jenna Joyce made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only two  hits while striking out six over six innings pitched. Joyce was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in April.
 In other batting news, Shady Spring got a big performance out of  Annabelle Sturgill, who  went 2-for-4 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI. That's the most  hits  Sturgill has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Brooklynn Blankenship, who  went 2-for-4 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 Shady Spring  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oak Hill struck out six times.
Meanwhile, Princeton didn't have quite enough to beat Greenbrier East on Tuesday and fell  7-5. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by  exactly two  runs.
  Zoey Agnew was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-4 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Shy Richardson, who  went 1-for-4 with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
 Princeton's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Shady Spring, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.
