Millard is 0-6 against Juab since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Millard Eagles will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Juab Wasps at 7:00 p.m. The timing isn't great for Millard: they have been struggling with six straight losses at home dating back to last season, while Juab has snatched up eight consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season.
Millard's 20-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They suffered a rough 52-30 loss at the hands of Beaver on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, even though Carbon scored an imposing 61 points on Wednesday, Juab still came out on top. Juab enjoyed a cozy 77-61 victory over Carbon. Given Juab's advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while Carbon is ranked 87th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Millard's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Juab, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
Millard couldn't quite finish off Juab in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 and fell 52-50. Thankfully for Millard, Ryker Richards (who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and five assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
