2A District 8 recap November 19, 2013
Commerce added to the longest winning streak in 2A District 8 this week by beating Chelsea, 60-7. The victory was the 11th in a row for the team.
Commerce took down the Dragons 60-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. DC Chance ran for 191 yards in the win.
Steve Moss' team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Angel Landeros threw for 53 and 1 touchdown and Seth Roberts had 53 yards receiving. On the ground Chance chipped in 191 yards.
The Tigers' dynamic duo of Landeros and Roberts proved to be unstoppable against Chelsea, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Chance was a passing and rushing force as Commerce topped Wade Wolf's team.
Kansas's Logan Blaine and Tracy Pruitt led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-8 quarterback Blaine has thrown for 808 yards this season, while Pruitt has 14 catches for 367 yards. The Tigers' Chance leads the league in rushing yards with 2,171.
In 148 carries Ryan Garrett has put up 923 yards this year.
Commerce led the league in scoring this week by notching 60 points on the Dragons. Chance during the win.
