The Poudre Impalas fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 17-10 win over Fort Collins on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Poudre, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Poudre's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brayden Bay, who threw for 262 yards and two touchdowns. Jackson Thole did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 82 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Poudre's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Fort Collins, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8.
Poudre will square off against Fossil Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Collins, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Boulder at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Boulder comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
