The Providence Hall Patriots will challenge the Richfield Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Providence Hall will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Andrew Taylor was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tatem Bowen, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was McCade Edwards, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
Providence Hall kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Richfield can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against Ogden by a score of 9-6.
Like Providence Hall, Richfield also got a great game from a two-way player: Garrett Wayman. On the mound, he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Wayman was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Richfield let Jess Curtis and Malik Fautin run wild. Curtis got on base in two of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Fautin went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Richfield is 4-2 when Fautin posts two or more runs, but 4-14 otherwise.
Providence Hall pushed their record up to 14-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Richfield, their victory bumped their record up to 8-16.
Richfield's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Providence Hall has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9 hits per game. It's a different story for Richfield, though, as they've been averaging 8.9 hits. Given Providence Hall's sizable advantage in that area, the Wildcats will need to find a way to close that gap.
Providence Hall might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Richfield when the teams last played back in May of 2023. Will the Patriots have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
