Basketball Game Preview: Booker T. Washington Golden Eagles vs. Montgomery Catholic Knights

Last Saturday, Booker T. Washington wrapped up 2024 with a 67-52 victory over Camden County. Given the Golden Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 55th in Alabama, while the Wildcats are ranked 244th in Georgia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Booker T. Washington's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Marquez Daniel, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 15 rebounds. With that strong performance, Daniel is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game. Jaivian Uhuru was another key player, going 7 for 11 on his way to 19 points in addition to five assists and five boards.

Meanwhile, Montgomery Catholic didn't have too much trouble with New Brockton on Friday as they won 60-43. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Montgomery Catholic now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Booker T. Washington, their win bumped their record up to 15-3.

Booker T. Washington didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Montgomery Catholic when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 52-46 victory.
