After flying high against the Calumet New Tech Warriors last Saturday, the Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles came back down to earth. Lake Station Edison was the victim of a tough 48-25 loss at the hands of Andrean on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lake Station Edison has scored all season.
Andrean was led to victory by Ashlee Evans and Maddie Walton. Evans scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Walton dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Walton hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Liv Delevic was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals.
Lake Station Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Andrean, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-13.
Lake Station Edison will head out on the road to challenge Munster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Munster will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. As for Andrean, they will square off against Kankakee Valley at TBD on Saturday.
