It was a good run, but the Wildwood Warriors unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 51-50 to Atlantic City.
Bridget Roach was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds for Atlantic City. That makes it three consecutive games in which Roach has scored at least a third of Atlantic City's points. Another player making a difference was Taison Parker, who scored 13 points.
Wildwood's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Atlantic City, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-11.
Wildwood will be playing at home against Pitman at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pitman will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 246th, while Wildwood is ranked 79th). As for Atlantic City, they will head out on the road to square off against Absegami at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Absegami is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
