If the West Chargers were riding high off their 81-30 takedown of the Turner Golden Bears last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. West was outmatched by Shawnee Heights at home and fell 58-30. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for West in their matchups with Shawnee Heights: they've now lost three in a row.
West lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Keimani Paul, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gad Munganga, who scored five points.
West's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Shawnee Heights, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-4-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West will face off against Seaman at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Shawnee Heights will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Lansing on February 13th.
