St. John can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Fort Jennings Musketeers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bluejays have posted since May 10, 2024.

Cam Elwer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on nine hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brayden Klaus, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-2. Brayden Pohlman was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

St. John's now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Fort Jennings, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-4 record.

Coming up, St. John's will look to defend their home field on the 24th against St. Henry at 5:00 p.m. As for Fort Jennings, they will head out to square off against Antwerp at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
