Northwestern is on a four-game streak of home losses, the Tigers a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Northwestern Wildcats will take on the DuVal Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northwestern comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Last Monday, Northwestern was beaten by the Rams 59-3. Northwestern has struggled against the Rams recently, as their contest on Monday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, DuVal ended up a good deal behind the Panthers on Tuesday and lost 55-39.
Northwestern has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for DuVal, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
Northwestern took a serious blow against the Tigers in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 58-29. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of DuVal's Precious Ntitebem, who shot 4-for-6 from downtown and almost dropped a triple-double on 27 points, ten rebounds, and nine steals. Now that Northwestern knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
