The Memphis Central Warriors were the 40-26 winner over the Overton Wolverines when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. Memphis Central fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 43-41.
Overton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kierra Baldwin, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Nia Smith was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Memphis Central's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Overton, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.
