The Bluffton Pirates are taking a road trip to take on the Carey Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Carey took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Bluffton, who comes in off a win.
On Thursday, Bluffton earned a 6-2 victory over Allen East.

| 03/31/26 @ Ada | 5 |
| 04/06/26 vs Elida | 8 |
| 04/09/26 @ Allen East | 11 |
PEYTON WORCESTER spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on nine hits and racked up 11 Ks. Those 11 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on KARLEIGH DAVIS, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. The team also got some help courtesy of ELANA NAVARRO, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Carey was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They fell 4-0 to Liberty-Benton. The game marked the first time this season in which the Blue Devils were not able to get on the board.
Carey saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashley Hohman, who went 1-for-3 with one double. Garnyr McKelvey also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Carey's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-5. As for Bluffton, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bluffton hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. However, it's not like Carey struggles in that department as they've averaged .326. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bluffton couldn't quite get it done against Carey when the teams last played back in May of 2019 as they fell 8-3. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
