Meanwhile, Lake Lure Classical Academy strolled past Pinnacle Classical Academy with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 60-41. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lake Lure Classical Academy.
Da'Zirus Watkins was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with seven steals and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Andre Staley was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-7. As for Lake Lure Classical Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.
