The Berwick Panthers will challenge the Teurlings Catholic Rebels at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Berwick barely beat Erath the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers blew past the Bobcats 23-3 on Monday. Considering the Panthers have won nine games by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Madison Diboll was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one hit in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Azyria Garrison was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Makinzie Macaluso, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Berwick was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .559. They are 7-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Teurlings Catholic won against Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy on Wednesday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Rebels didn't even let Port Barre on the board, marking the Rebels' second-straight 10-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rebels.
Not much got past Reagan Brasseaux, who gave up just a hit to keep Port Barre off the board.
At the plate, Mia Smith was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Bailee Hebert was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.
Teurlings Catholic's win bumped their record up to 12-13-1. As for Berwick, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-13 record.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Berwick hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .339. However, it's not like Teurlings Catholic struggles in that department as they've averaged .367. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
