The FAMU DRS Baby Rattlers suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Godby, falling 65-20. FAMU DRS was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 53-10.
Priya Ratnaswany was FAMU DRS's leading scorer, having posted seven points.
Mykayla James held things down on the boards with four rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with an assist.
Godby's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cristina Brown led the charge by scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Brown continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Logan Cornelius, who scored 11 points.
FAMU DRS's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Godby, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. FAMU DRS will take on Chiles at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Godby on the road again on Thursday and play against Madison County at 6:00 p.m. on January 18th. Madison County is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
