Stubbs Made His Presence Known in Bell's 37-13 Win
Starting off the list is Bell's Erick Stubbs, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Stubbs rushed for 283 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 92-yard run.
For the season, Stubbs has run in 22 touchdowns while averaging 222.5 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 104.13 rushing yards per game.

Ceasar Reyes continued his hot streak on Thursday by dropping his eighth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 103 rushing yards. He rushed for 142 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. He didn't just play on offense: he also made four total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended a pass.
The win (which was Garfield's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2. Reyes and Garfield will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Roosevelt at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th.

Edward Rivera's Big Game Leads South East over Roosevelt
Edward Rivera's rushing tear continued on Thursday as he dropped his seventh-straight game with 119+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 168 yards while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing two fumbles and making ten total tackles (1.0 for loss).
Unfortunately for Roosevelt, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Rivera. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Rivera saw the Rough Riders), he rushed for 210 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry.

On Thursday, South East got the W thanks in part to Bryce Johnson playing the best football he has all season. Johnson rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 56 yards and two touchdowns.
This season, Johnson has thrown 4 touchdowns while averaging 41.3 passing yards per game.

Dominic Vasquez Makes It Two for Garfield
Another Garfield player making an appearance on this list is Dominic Vasquez. He picked up 59 receiving yards and a touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 55 yards.
