After having lost a blowout to Rock Port in their previous match, South Nodaway/Jefferson were happy to find some success last Friday. South Nodaway/Jefferson took their match against North Nodaway/West Nodaway 40-30. Junior Dalton Luke, who rushed for 240 yards and 5 touchdowns, was a major factor in South Nodaway/Jefferson's success. In fact, with 11 tackles Luke was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, South Holt/Nodaway-Holt have to be hurting after a devastating 28-62 defeat at the hands of East Atchison. South Holt/Nodaway-Holt were down by 16-42 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
South Nodaway/Jefferson's win lifted them to 1-2 while South Holt/Nodaway-Holt's loss dropped them down to 0-3. We'll find out if South Nodaway/Jefferson can add another positive mark to their record or if South Holt/Nodaway-Holt can shake off the loss and take the spring out of South Nodaway/Jefferson's step.
