Clayton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Logan Longhorns, falling 19-12. On the bright side, the 12- run performance marked the Yellowjackets' highest-scoring game to date.

Braylon Trujilo led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Sammy Montoya was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs.

Clayton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Logan, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Clayton will take on Pecos at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Yellowjackets their first taste of in-conference action this season. Logan will be paying especially close attention to Clayton's contest: after Clayton faces off against Pecos, they'll take on Logan again at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
