Basketball Recap: Southwest Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

The Southwest Roughriders secured a 50-45 W over Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] on Friday thanks in part to Billeter, who posted 29 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. His evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Michael Nelson was another key player, putting up four points along with five rebounds and three blocks. Those three blocks gave him a new career-high.

Southwest is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood], this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southwest will square off against Dundy County-Stratton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dundy County-Stratton will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Southwest surely won't give up without a fight.
