The Community Christian Academy Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. Their tough 63-42 loss to First Academy might stick with them for a while. Community Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-15.
First Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Logan James led the charge by scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals. James hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Jakson Bounds, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Community Christian Academy dropped their record down to 3-8 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for First Academy, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-8.
Community Christian Academy will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. First Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
