After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Giles, Narrows was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Bland County Bears with a sharp 15-3 win. The Green Waves' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Holly Gilbert made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.
