The Bella Vista Broncos will be playing in front of their home fans against the Yuba City Honkers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
On Monday, Bella Vista took a serious blow against the Tigers, falling 86-27. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bella Vista has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Yuba City's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their 12th straight defeat. The game between them and Roseville wasn't particularly close, with Yuba City falling 63-47. While losing is never fun, Yuba City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 747th, while the Tigers are ranked 317th).
This is the second loss in a row for Bella Vista and nudges their season record down to 11-16. As for Yuba City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season.
Bella Vista didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the Honkers when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 59-54 win. Will Bella Vista repeat their success, or do the Honkers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
