Lely was led to victory by Fara Louissaint and Kaleah Estrada. Louissaint scored 12 points along with eight rebounds, while Estrada scored eight points along with six rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Lashawnda Dareus, who scored seven points along with four steals.
Bonita Springs' defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.4 points per game. As for Lely, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season.
Bonita Springs won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Golden Gate at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. As for Lely, they will head out on the road to face off against South Fort Myers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
