The Barr-Reeve Vikings entered their tilt with the Eastern Greene Thunderbirds with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Barr-Reeve took down Eastern Greene 53-34 on Friday. Given Barr-Reeve's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while Eastern Greene is ranked 354th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Braydon Knepp was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points. The match was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Wagler, who scored 14 points.
Barr-Reeve's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 27.33 points. As for Eastern Greene, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Barr-Reeve will be home for the holidays to greet Vincennes Lincoln at 11:45 a.m. on Friday. Eastern Greene will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Putnam at 12:00 p.m. on December 27th.
