Belton-Honea Path's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kamiyah Christian, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Maggie Lecroy, who scored 11 points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Palmetto's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Belton-Honea Path's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-12. As for Palmetto, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-15.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Belton-Honea Path's road trip will continue as they head out to face Fountain Inn at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Hopefully Fountain Inn focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday. As for Palmetto, they will head out on the road to challenge Wren at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wren will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Palmetto surely won't give up without a fight.
