Meanwhile, Newport - Bellevue came into Wednesday's matchup having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 61-57 W over Eastlake on Wednesday. The victory was just what Newport - Bellevue needed coming off of a 79-48 loss in their prior match.
Jace Rainey continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 31 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Carnrite, who scored ten points.
North Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Newport - Bellevue, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-18.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: North Creek have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 26.4 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Newport - Bellevue struggles in that department as they've been averaging 21.2 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
North Creek took their win against the Knights when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 93-68. With North Creek ahead 52-32 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
