The Yavneh Academy Bulldogs suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. Their rough 45-22 defeat to Cornerstone Christian Academy might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Yavneh Academy has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Yavneh Academy still got an impressive performance from Daniela Hargrove, who scored four points along with 12 rebounds and two steals. Hargrove hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games.
It was another big night for Jasmine Nordstrom, who went 6 for 7 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and 3 assists for Cornerstone Christian Academy. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nordstrom has scored all season. Genna Welch was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Yavneh Academy bumped their record down to 8-6 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Cornerstone Christian Academy, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
Yavneh Academy will look to defend their home court on Saturday against North Dallas Adventist Academy at 7:30 p.m. North Dallas Adventist Academy is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Cornerstone Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Bishop Gorman at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Bishop Gorman will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
