Baseball Recap: Riverside Indian Makes It 17 in a Row at Home

Riverside Indian came out on top against Pawnee on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run first inning. The Braves were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Black Bears. The Braves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Kade Komalty made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Komalty was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

In other batting news, Riverside Indian let Izea Anderson and McKinsley Isaac run wild. Anderson went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Isaac got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four runs and one stolen base. Those four runs gave Isaac a new career-high. David JR Komalty was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Riverside Indian's win was their 17th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Pawnee, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-19.

As of now, neither Riverside Indian nor the Black Bears have any future games scheduled.
