Basketball Recap: North Forsyth Falls Despite Big Games from Drahcir Williams and Kerry Smith

North Forsyth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 71-63 to the Carver Yellowjackets. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yellowjackets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Despite the loss, North Forsyth had strong showings from Kerry Smith, who went 7 for 15 on his way to 22 points, and Drahcir Williams, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 17 points in addition to six assists and three steals. Smith's afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Frankie Mabe, who posted 11 points.

North Forsyth's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Carver, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

North Forsyth wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 65-60 win against Atkins on the 21st. As for Carver, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 75-70 victory against R.J. Reynolds on the 21st.
