Oak Grove Lutheran scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Sargent Central, 34-22. At the time, the Cadets were ranked 10th in the state, while the Grovers were 26th.
Oak Grove Lutheran was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Sargent Central. Derek Bakken's team came in at 22 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
Richland's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Matthew Workin threw for 119 yards and Travis Myers had 81 yards receiving. On the ground Myers contributed 47 yards. Brady Heyen helped Richland's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 38 yards.
The Colts' dynamic duo of Workin and Myers proved to be unstoppable against Hankinson, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Heyen helped Richland's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 38 yards.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Heyen. The Richland star has 17 catches for 315 yards.
Adding to the longest winning streak in 9-Man Region 1 (9 Man) this week, Strasburg/Zeeland beat Wyndmere/Lidgerwood 54-28. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
