The Coronado Islanders''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They lost to Patrick Henry at home by a decisive 30-14 margin. Coronado lost against Patrick Henry in their previous head to head back in October of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 69-14 score last time.
Although Coronado took the loss, they still got scores from Graham Bower and Jack Delcore.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Patrick Henry to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cody Cappelletti, who rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown. Hamilton Collins was another key contributor, picking up 41 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Coronado's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Patrick Henry, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 5-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coronado will face off against Bonita Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Patrick Henry, they will head out on the road to face off against El Capitan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
