The Eastmoor Academy Warriors will head out to square off against the Liberty Union Lions at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Eastmoor Academy knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Liberty Union likes a good challenge.
On Wednesday, Eastmoor Academy made easy work of Independence and carried off a 20-4 victory. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the 76ers: they've now won four in a row.
Darren Milligan made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Taylor Vivens was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Mario Blount was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Eastmoor Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Independence only managed four hits.
Meanwhile, Liberty Union had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Rangers 7-5. That's two games straight that the Lions have won by exactly two runs.
Tanner Farmer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five earned runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cam Wood, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Alex Johnson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Eastmoor Academy's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Liberty Union, their record is now 7-5.
Eastmoor Academy's speedy runners might be the difference in Saturday's game. The Warriors have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 11.1 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Liberty Union, though, as they've been averaging only 1.1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Eastmoor Academy continue to outrun the ball?
