It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Hooks Hornets can now relate to. They had to suffer through a rough 33-6 loss at the hands of the Tigers. Hooks' loss signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.
Ripken Birdwell threw for 116 yards and a touchdown. Jatavious Johnson was his top target, picking up 72 receiving yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Keyshawn Walls rushed for 114 yards.
It was another big night for Chase Johnson, who rushed for 87 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 243 yards and a touchdown on only 19 passes for Daingerfield. Braden Lewis also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Hooks' loss dropped their record down to 11-1. As for Daingerfield, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
Hooks does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Daingerfield will be playing in front of their home fans against West Rusk at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. West Rusk has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 174 points over their last four matchups.
