The Cross County Cougars can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They breezed by Dorchester at home to the tune of 67-9. Cross County's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Cross County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Wyatt Hengelfelt, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Ashton Seim, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Dorchester struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
The win was the sixth in a row for Cross County, bringing their record for this year to 11-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Dorchester, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
Cross County will head out on the road to challenge Hampton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Hampton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday. As for Dorchester, they will square off against Shelby-Rising City at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
