Central Linn not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 12, 2024. They were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Camas Valley Hornets.

Jacob Helms and Colten Northern made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Helms didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over 4.2 innings pitched. Meanwhile, Northern pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At bat, Helms scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Northern went 1-for-5 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Central Linn let Trevon Nofziger and Thomas Thornton run wild. Nofziger scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Thornton scored two runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Hixon Lauzon, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

The win got Central Linn back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Central Linn will take on Irrigon at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. As for Camas Valley, they will face off against Hosanna Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
